From personal experience it is obvious that there is a phenomenal level of activity and planning for the TUC-backed March for the Alternative on 26 March in London.
So far opposition to the Coalition economic agenda has been confined to very successful protests by particular sections of society. This offers the first real opportunity for all those opposed to the government’s cuts to unite under one banner. For that reason alone it is significant and its success, critical.
